In support of a $500 million expansion by the airport's largest tenant Gulfstream Aerospace, the airport proceeded with a $29 million land development project including realignment of Gulfstream Road, construction of taxiway bridge, taxiway A extension and construction of taxiway H.  This expansion opened up 280 acres of vacant property for future aviation, manufacturing and general/corporate aviation facilities.
