Boeing Russia
Boeing Aerospace Park is an industrial park to be built in Skolkovo catering to the manufacturing expansion and research and development needs of The Boeing Company in Russia. Located in northern Skolkovo, the USD $6 billion plan to develop 4,100 hectares of land adjacent to the new Boeing Spaceport that will further strengthen Russia’s position as a formidable leader in the aerospace industry. The development of the new aerospace park is geared towards delivering additional land for further expansion of Boeing manufacturing in Russia, and complement existing manufacturing activities for both commercial and military aviation.

Skolkovo innovation center (also Russian Silicon Valley in Skolkovo) is a planned high technology business area to be built at Skolkovo near Moscow, Russia.

The site is intended to be an ultramodern complex created to encourage scientifically-technological based companies. It is expected that the complex will be constructed in the territory of the city settlements of New Ivanovo and Odintsovo, near the village of Skolkovo, located in the east part of Odintsovsky area of Moscow, 2 km to the west from MKAD on Skolkovsky highway.

A New Aviation Training Center Will Be Established at Skolkovo Innovation Center

The Aviation Training Center will be providing services in the area of flight and maintenance personnel training aimed at increasing the flight safety. The center will also be elaborating new innovative training technologies and developing Russian-produced trainers. The new facility will open in 2015. MOSCOW, Dec. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] has announced it will expand its flight and maintenance training capabilities in Russia with a new, state-of-the-art training campus.

The new full-service training facility— set to open in 2015—will be located in the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow. Boeing will work in cooperation with Industrial Investors Group and their subsidiary Transas on the project.

"We are bringing Boeing's flight and maintenance training closer to our Russian customers, giving them the world-class support they need to successfully operate and maintain their fleets," said Sherry Carbary, vice president, Boeing Flight Services. "Airlines in the region will benefit from a technologically advanced training campus staffed by the industry's best qualified and most experienced pilots and instructors."
